Davie hosts five of Florida’s top wheelchair basketball teams square off this weekend at Nova Southeastern University

Miami Heat Wheels tipoff in Miami Springs earlier in 2014

The Sunshine State Wheelchair Basketball Tournament begins this Saturday October 11th. The nationally ranked Miami Heat Wheels play at 9am, 1pm and 4pm as part of the round robin tournament format.

Sunday’s action begins at 11am with a single elimination tournament for the top 4 seeds running until 4pm. Each game lasts roughly 90 minutes, see below for complete schedule of all teams. Admission is Free.

All Sunshine State Wheelchair Basketball Tournament games will take place in Davie at Nova Southeastern University’s Don Taft University Center, 3301 College Ave, Fort Lauderdale, 33314

The Miami Heat Wheels were selected this past year as one of the top 25 teams nationally and participated in the NWBA’s (National Wheelchair Basketball Association) national tournament in Kentucky this past April.
